Automotive Service Terms & Policies

A clear account of how Ajebo Fix assesses, authorises, invoices, acknowledges payments and supports work on your vehicle.

Effective: 13 October 2026 · Version 1.0

Ajebo Fix Ltd · Lagos, Nigeria

These general terms inform clients; they do not replace a specifically accepted scope of work or remove statutory consumer rights. Read the document's own fees, exclusions and payment schedule before approving work.

1. What these terms cover

These terms explain Ajebo Fix Ltd's general process for consultations, assessments, repairs, parts, service coordination, invoicing and payment acknowledgements. They are separate from our Website Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

Each accepted estimate, signed scope of work or other documented agreement should identify the specific scope, price, timing, responsibilities and any disclosed limitations for that job. Those agreed particulars govern where they are lawful and were fairly disclosed; no agreement can remove statutory consumer rights. A link, automated acknowledgement or later amendment alone does not prove acceptance. Material limitations and risks should be explained before the customer commits or pays.

2. Consultation, assessment and diagnosis

Ajebo Fix works consultation-first. Descriptions of symptoms, photographs, diagnostic codes, teleconsultations and software-generated guidance are not conclusive mechanical diagnoses. A recommendation may change following inspection, testing or new evidence.

An assessment or diagnostic charge is a professional service fee, separate from repair labour, parts, third-party costs and further investigation unless the written estimate explicitly includes it. Findings and limits of the assessment will be explained to the client.

3. Estimates, approval and changes of scope

An estimate sets out proposed work, assumptions, exclusions, prices and its stated validity period. An estimate is not a final proof of payment and, unless otherwise agreed, is not an open-ended authorisation to carry out more work.

Ajebo Fix will seek documented client approval before carrying out and charging for work beyond the agreed scope. If a safety concern arises, work may be paused, the client informed and the vehicle made reasonably safe without treating that event as permission to perform additional chargeable repairs. Any emergency expenditure requires prior authority or another clear lawful basis, recorded promptly. Changes to scope, material costs, completion expectations and price will be explained and approved before the additional work begins.

A proposed discount or settlement from either party is not an agreed change by itself. Any change to an accepted price or settlement arrangement should be confirmed in a written record, including authorised approvals and a revised account balance.

4. Parts, suppliers and client-supplied items

A written estimate identifies where parts, materials or specialist services are included and who will supply them. Client-supplied or pre-owned parts should be identified in the job record before fitting.

We aim to record whether a component is genuine new, aftermarket new, reconditioned, locally used or foreign-used (Tokunbo), along with its supplier, stated condition, compatibility evidence and any verified testing or return period. A seller's advertised guarantee does not itself establish an additional Ajebo Fix guarantee. Where Ajebo Fix supplies a part, it remains responsible for its own obligations as supplier under applicable law; a dealer's short advertised period cannot override those rights. Clients purchasing parts directly should retain proof of purchase and the seller's written conditions.

Ajebo Fix may inspect, recommend against, or decline to install a part it reasonably considers incompatible, unreliable or unsafe. Client insistence or a limited budget does not oblige us to accept unsafe work. Where an otherwise acceptable used or client-supplied part is installed, any written voluntary guarantee will distinguish the part's pre-existing condition or inherent defects from Ajebo Fix's own installation workmanship.

A defective part and defective installation require separate assessment. Supplier remedies may be limited and time-sensitive; Ajebo Fix remains responsible for its own service standards and obligations under applicable Nigerian law. A client-supplied part is not, by itself, grounds to deny a legitimate workmanship concern.

5. Deposits, invoices and payments

Each invoice identifies the agreed amount and any discounts, taxes, payment schedule and due date applicable to that transaction. An upfront amount may be required before work begins or materials are committed if stated in the accepted terms.

A payment is treated as received when the receiving account or provider confirms the transfer, not merely when a transfer screenshot is provided. Ajebo Fix updates the same invoice when a verified partial payment is recorded; another invoice is not automatically required for each instalment.

A discount applies only in the amount expressly approved and recorded. A partial payment does not, by itself, discharge the outstanding balance or change an agreed price.

6. Partial-payment receipts and final settlement

Ajebo Fix can issue an individual payment receipt for each confirmed payment, even if an invoice remains partially paid. It acknowledges only the money actually received and identifies the related invoice. It is not a declaration that all charges have been settled.

An updated account statement or payment reminder may show how much remains outstanding without creating or resending a new invoice. After the complete agreed amount has cleared, Ajebo Fix may issue a final settlement confirmation or consolidated receipt identifying the underlying payments without counting them twice.

Invoice, payment receipt and final settlement confirmation are different documents and should not be interpreted interchangeably.

7. Timing, access and vehicle release

Estimated completion dates will be identified as estimates; any specifically agreed completion date remains part of the agreed terms. Timing can depend on testing, parts, suppliers and client decisions. We will give timely notice of material delays and explain realistic revised expectations; a general website disclaimer does not authorise indefinite or unreasonable delay.

Payment and collection arrangements, including whether an agreed balance is payable before handover, should be made clear before work begins. Ajebo Fix will not treat these website terms alone as a legal right to seize, retain or sell a vehicle; any dispute about release, unpaid charges or retention must be handled according to applicable law and the specific agreement. Proposed storage or parking fees must be disclosed and accepted where required before they accrue; no fee will be invented retrospectively.

8. Cancellations, refunds and unused advance payments

A client may request to cancel work that has not yet been performed. Ajebo Fix will explain what work has already been completed, what commitments have been reasonably and properly incurred, and any refund or credit due for unused funds.

If a booking or advance payment has express cancellation conditions, we will disclose them before acceptance. Any cancellation charge must be lawful, fair and supported by the actual circumstances, including work performed, materials reasonably and irreversibly committed, and applicable consumer rights. There is no blanket 'non-refundable deposit' rule. The Act also restricts cancellation fees for certain bookings affected by death or hospitalisation. Statutory refund or consumer remedies are not waived by this policy.

9. Workmanship, parts warranties and follow-up concerns

Ajebo Fix does not offer one blanket additional workmanship-guarantee duration or automatic mileage-based guarantee for every job. Any extra voluntary assurance must identify its covered work, conditions, start and end dates or other objectively defined limit, and the reporting process. Proposed additional terms should be agreed before the relevant work is authorised; a new condition added only at handover will not retrospectively restrict an earlier agreement. Some high-uncertainty work may carry no extra voluntary guarantee, but this never eliminates ordinary workmanship duties or statutory rights.

Before deciding on additional coverage, we consider the agreed and adequately funded scope, technical complexity, vehicle age and documented condition, existing or concealed damage, extent of diagnosis and testing, who supplied the parts, whether they are new, aftermarket, refurbished or Tokunbo, available supplier support, materials selected, and access to quality-control and follow-up testing. The price influences the additional coverage Ajebo Fix can sustainably offer; it never excuses substandard work.

For bodywork and refinishing, coverage may be limited to specifically repaired areas and demonstrable workmanship or application defects. The assessment considers the severity of collision damage, older repairs, filler and substrate condition, corrosion, panel alignment, available materials, colour-match limitations, curing conditions and the client's documented aftercare. A previously accidented or extensively rebuilt vehicle may require narrower agreed scope and specific limitations.

Nigeria's road surfaces, pothole impact, flooding, water ingress, coastal humidity, heat, chemical exposure, driving practices, later accidents, third-party repairs and ignored aftercare advice may cause independent damage. Their mere existence does not automatically defeat a claim: we evaluate evidence of whether the later event actually caused or contributed to the reported problem.

If a concern returns, contact Ajebo Fix with the job reference, dates and symptoms as soon as reasonably practical. Where safe, preserve photos, error codes and evidence and allow reasonable inspection; urgent independent safety assistance remains available. Ajebo Fix will review the earlier scope, evidence, parts and likely cause before giving a reasoned response. Where our service was deficient, we will provide remedies required by law. A customer is not required to give up legal remedies, pay an unlawful complaint fee or use Ajebo Fix exclusively before reporting an urgent or disputed concern.

No policy or negotiated limitation excludes obligations, remedies or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded, including statutory rights concerning reasonable quality and skill in service delivery.

10. Inspection limits, test drives and safety

Vehicle inspection can reveal additional or previously concealed problems. Ajebo Fix will explain material new findings and obtain approval for additional chargeable work. Especially on previously collision-damaged or flood-exposed vehicles, an estimate may cover only the documented areas; unseen structures, wiring or old repairs must not be assumed repaired unless separately assessed and authorised.

Where appropriate and authorised, controlled road testing, diagnostic inspection or test-running may be necessary. We should record relevant consent, driver identity and observed condition and take reasonable care of the vehicle. If a vehicle appears unsafe, we will explain the risk and may recommend it not be driven pending assessment or repair. Neither a software status nor completion of unrelated work guarantees roadworthiness.

11. Vehicle records, Aura and communications

Ajebo Fix may document findings, approved work, images, payment confirmations and service history for the care of the vehicle and related business records. Our Privacy Policy explains relevant personal-data processing and rights.

Aura and A.J. Rina are decision-support and vehicle-record tools, not substitutes for physical diagnosis or independently authorised repairs. Delivery of an estimate or receipt by email confirms sending or submission status only; it does not automatically prove the client opened, accepted or settled the document.

12. Complaints, discrepancies and resolution

Questions or complaints about scope, quality, bills, payments or refunds may be raised through the contact details below, with the invoice or job reference and any available supporting evidence. We will acknowledge and review concerns within a reasonable time, prioritise safety-related reports, explain what evidence is needed, and provide a reasoned response. Clients may pursue applicable regulatory or legal remedies if a matter is not resolved.

A dispute should not be treated as acceptance of additional work or agreement to an unapproved deduction. Both parties retain any remedies available under applicable Nigerian law.

13. Updates and governing context

We may update these general policies as our services develop. The version brought to a client's attention as part of an accepted service arrangement, alongside that arrangement's written terms, is the relevant reference for that transaction; later website revisions do not automatically rewrite an existing contract.

These policies are intended for Ajebo Fix services in Nigeria and are subject to applicable consumer-protection, contract and data-protection law.
